On July 18, 2025, the Lauf Lions Club will hand over the presidency from Michael Kahlo to Jürgen Kreppner at an event in Wenzelburg, who would like to bring fresh impulses into club life.
SENSATIONAL PRESIDENTIAL CHANGE: Lions Club Run with a breath of fresh air!
It's a day full of surprises in the quiet town of Lauf, and the excitement is almost palpable! Today a highly dramatic, sensational change took place at the top of the Lions Club. At a rousing event in the Wenzelburg, outgoing President Michael Kahlo handed over the scepter to the new shining star in the Lions sky: Jürgen Kreppner! A change that could change everything!
After a full year at the helm, in which Kahlo achieved massive success - not only was he an incredible youth representative for over 100 trainees, but he was also a captain in the Bundeswehr! – it is now time to bring a breath of fresh air into the concentrated Lions commitment! Under the bright motto “Do Zamm Good”, Kreppner, an experienced IT consultant with more than 25 years of professional experience, plans to comprehensively reform the club’s structures. The Lions Club can look forward to exciting new impulses!
A new era begins!
Kreppner's priorities are clear: a diverse club life, an equal distribution of responsibility and a community atmosphere. But what will captivate us even more is his unwavering desire to intensify cooperation with other aid organizations while setting new standards at TSV Rückersdorf! The Lions Club Lauf will now plan help in the region even more fairly and effectively!
But looking back at Kahlo’s impressive year in office makes your pulse beat faster! From survival weekends to self-defense training to exciting visits to nuclear bunkers! What an exciting time for the members of this amazing organization! The Lions not only learned how to create environmentally friendly heating systems and compressed air products - they also came together and pulled together!
Excitement on the field too!
While the Lions Club prepares to reach new heights, the Rhine Falls sporting field also shows that thrilling events are inevitable! The Washington Commanders clearly won against the Detroit Lions in a highly dramatic NFL game and turned the football world upside down! With an astonishing 45 points they swept the Lions out of the stadium with 31 points! Every point counts and the tension increases! Were these two teams influenced by the dynamics of the Lions clubs? Paradise chaos on multiple levels!
The Lions organization itself has a great influence with more than 1.4 million members worldwide. Founded in 1981, the Lauf Lions Club has almost 40 committed members and remains the epitome of the motto: “We serve”! Your tireless commitment to youth and senior work as well as education and inclusion is simply admirable!
What an incredible day for the Lions Club and our fellow citizens! With a new president, fresh ambition and exciting plans for the future, one can only hope that the Lions Club will continue to inspire us all with their acts of kindness and humanity.
