In a shocking spectacle of music and conviviality on July 12, 2025, Altdorf experienced an unparalleled event that could make history! The ChoirOpen 2025, organized by the Neuer Chor Altdorf, was a brilliant highlight that can be described as a breathtaking fusion of singing, community and delicious food! What was on offer here is beyond imagination!
With a grandiose start by the Altdorf primary school, which captivated the audience with poignant songs such as “We are the children of this world” and “On the Swabian Railway”, the event became a heated magnet for emotions right from the start! But that was just the beginning! Seven impressive guest choirs performed, each with their own exciting repertoire, transforming the schoolyard into a surging sea of sound.
A star line-up of singing art!
The renowned one New choir Altdorf Under the captivating direction of Thomas Daub, the audience was thrilled with powerful hits like “Shallow” and “Tage wie die”! The voices of theVOICE POWER Holzgerlingen“She’s always a Woman” and “Viva la Vida” rang through the air and made hearts beat faster!
And as if that wasn't enough, the Chorifeen Grafenau enchanted with their iconic melodies "Shopping Spree" and "Spinning Song from Markgräflerland" - a real catchy tune! This remarkable musical performance was performed byChoir In Action (CIA) Korntal, who amazed the audience with “Side by Side” and “Make me a channel of your peace,” and thatJam club choir TübingenPerfectly complemented with “Yesterday” and “For the longest time”.
A culinary festival in a class of its own!
But it wasn't just the music that caused a sensation! In total, an incredible 430 sausages and steaks were grilled - an epic amount that provided an incomparable feast in the constant battle against hunger! And while the crowd feasted, a chic cake buffet offered a tasty selection, perfectly rounded off with cool coffee and refreshing drinks!
The jungle of organizers also shows the fantastic support of the Altdorf community and generous sponsors like theBrüggemann Physiotherapyand theVolksbank Holzgerlingen. They made it possible for the Neue Chor Altdorf to shine with a new mixing console and microphones!

But the sensation doesn't end there! The New Choir Altdorf is already planning a spectacular oneAnniversary concerton November 22, 2025! Who could dare miss this musical journey? Certainly not the future stars who will grow up in Altdorf!
