Wangen im Allgäu, a city with around 28,000 inhabitants and the second largest municipality in the Ravensburg district, offers a wide range of economic, cultural and social offerings. A central element of the municipal infrastructure is the water supply, which supplies around 20,000 people in Wangen, Deuchelried and Karsee with water. For this purpose, Stadtwerke Wangen operates several technical systems, including three water extraction systems and seven elevated water tanks, and supplies around 1.3 million cubic meters of water to end customers every year.

The company relies on a well-structured supply network. In total, the main distribution network covers around 100 kilometers and includes around 3,500 house connections. This not only requires continuous monitoring and maintenance, but also the implementation of new construction and repair work on water pipes as well as the maintenance of the technical systems.

In order to meet the requirements of water supply, the city of Wangen is looking for a full-time employee in the water supply branch as soon as possible. The tasks of this position include monitoring and maintaining the water network as well as supporting construction work. The position also requires alternating on-call shifts starting on public holidays and weekends.

The requirements profile calls for successfully completed three years of training, ideally in water supply technology or a related field. Experience in water supply operations is desirable. Other necessary qualities are reliability, service orientation and the ability to work in a team. A class BE driving license is required for the position.
