The West Allgäu meeting took place today in Wangen's Allgäu Stadium and was well received by spectators with over 270 athletes taking part. Athletes from all over southern Germany, Vorarlberg and even Spain traveled to compete in various disciplines. Particularly noteworthy are the performances of two young talents: Rebekka Feirle and Pauline Schedler, who are on their way to the U20 European Championships in Tampere, Finland.
Rebekka Feirle, athlete from LG Östl. Bodenseekreis, impressed with a time of 56.50 seconds over 400 meters and thus qualified for the German Championships, which will take place in Bochum in July. Her personal success is not only a confirmation of her hard work, but also an important step on her way to international competitions.
Strong performances take center stage
Pauline Schedler, who competes for TS Egg, also put in a remarkable performance by completing the 800 meters in 2:09.30 minutes. This time will help her achieve the required qualifying times for international sports festivals. The successes of these two athletes reflect the high level of performance achieved at the West Allgäu meeting.
