LeezenLiebe Bicycle Day: Big festival for cycling fans in Münster!

On June 21, 2025, Münster will once again become the hub for bicycle enthusiasts when Bicycle Day is celebrated under the motto “LeezenLiebe”. Exciting activities and an informative stage program await visitors in Stubengasse, where all sorts of bicycle-related topics will be presented from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is aimed at all ages and provides a platform to celebrate the love of cycling.

The day's attractions include free repair workshops, a bike wash and bike coding to prevent theft, offered by the police. Visitors can also look forward to exciting record attempts in slow driving. To make everyone happy, they can take part in a free bike tour from Telgte to Münster, which starts at 1:30 p.m. at Telgte train station. Registration is required by June 19th.

Entertainment program and hands-on activities

The stage program offers both cultural and entertaining contributions. Highlights include the bicycle auction between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. as well as performances by bicycle artist Antonia Bärk, who already has several titles in her portfolio, including world championships and national championships. Antonia will perform several times a day to demonstrate her impressive skills.

In addition, the improv theater RatzFatz will delight the audience with its creative stories, while the band Me & Ms Jacobs will provide musical highlights with Eclectic Soul. The program will be expanded to include hands-on activities, with a cargo bike course and a five-meter-high starting ramp for BMX professionals encouraging visitors. The Oldenburg athletes show exciting jumps and tricks.

Local support and commitment

Bicycle Day is an initiative supported by the city of Münster and local institutions. Mayor Markus Lewe and city planning officer Robin Denstorff emphasized the importance of the event for the local cycling community. The Münster bicycle dealers will present new models and offer test rides, while the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) is organizing the “2nd Münsterland Tandem Tour”, which starts at 11.30 a.m.

Comprehensive information about the events, the artists and the option to register for the bike tour can be found on the city of Münster's website. The “LeezenLiebe” event not only promises a lot of fun and entertainment, but also the opportunity to find out about the advantages of cycling in Münster.
