Ostalb-Gymnasium triumphs: tennis girls move into the final!

On Wednesday, May 7th, 2025, the exciting tennis match took place in Weinstadt as part of the event "Youth trained for Olympia". Four talented girls from the Ostalb-Gymnasium Bopfingen (OAG) competed against the Remstal Gymnasium and showed impressive achievements.

The participants Anna Ergezinger (9b), Felicia Bihr (8b), Paulina Faass (9b) and Rosalie Joas (9b) were able to prevail in a challenging competition. The game format consisted of four individually and two doubles, whereby the OAG was able to win a total of three singles and both doubles. With a convincing overall result of 5: 1, they secured the progress and are now kicking against the defending champion from Ludwigsburg Schwäbische .

semi -finals: a hard competition

The second half of the season in the quarter-finals against the Schorndorf grammar school was successful, and the OAG girls now fought for the finals. But the semi -finals were a big challenge. Due to a onset of rain front, the individual games had to be interrupted for two hours. Despite these adverse circumstances, the students showed an impressive fighting spirit and continued the game after the interruption. Ultimately, however, they had to give up 5: 1 Schwäbische Post .
