The driver of the truck had just one stroke of luck - he was able to escape the burning wreckage in time, but only suffered minor injuries. The situation around him seemed all the more intense! Fire departments from far away were mobilized to fight the devastating fire - a total of 320 emergency services and over 60 vehicles were in constant use until early morning. Ghostly images of firefighters bravely battling the flames take your breath away. Swabian reports that the fire wasn't put out until 3 a.m. - but the fire was just the tip of the iceberg of the problems that were still building.
