New head chef at Oettingers: Jonas Erhardt takes over the reins!

The change in the kitchen at the star restaurant Oettingers in Fellbach is attracting attention in the gastronomic scene. Kay Lurz, who has worked as head chef since September 2022, left the restaurant at the end of April 2023. This was done by Restaurant rankings confirmed. Michael Oettinger, the founder and current head chef, will again take over responsibility in the kitchen of the respected restaurant until further notice.

Michael Oettinger continued to be active in the kitchen before Lurz, but in 2023 he decided to hand over the head chef position to Lurz. This decision was made on September 14, 2022 and was described by Oettinger as not easy. He clarified that the move to be less in the spotlight has been developing over a long period of time, while he remains at the restaurant as a sous chef to ensure culinary quality, such as ZVW reported.

New management team at Oettingers

With the departure of Kay Lurz, the management structure at Oettingers has also changed. Jonas Erhardt takes on the role of the new restaurant manager and sommelier. Erhardt looks back on an extensive career that includes positions at the Restaurant & Bar 993 in Hanover and the Hotel Hohenhaus. He previously worked as deputy restaurant manager at Vierzwein85 in Leiwen and at Restaurant Schanz in Piesport. His training at the Lamm Hotel and Restaurant in Hebsack in 2010 laid the foundation for his successful career.

Erhardt has gained experience in renowned establishments such as the Colombi in Freiburg, Victor's Fine Dining in Perl-Nennig and the Lea Linster restaurant in Frisange, which will benefit him in his new position.

The current changes at Oettingers mark a new beginning in the kitchen and restaurant management, which is known in the region for its exceptional culinary offerings. The gastronomic landscape in Fellbach remains excited about the coming developments in this well-known institution.
