Mannholzer Festtage 2025: Rock night and cow pat roulette await you!

The anticipation of the Mannholz Festival 2025 is palpable in Alfdorf. From June 6th to 8th, Mannholz will be transformed into a center for music, fun and customs. The popular festival is organized by “The Restlers”, which was founded in 1986 by a moped clique. “The Restlers” has been operating as a registered association since 2001 and has taken over the organization of the festive season, which was previously carried out by the volunteer fire department. A key feature of the festival is the many volunteers, without whom the event would not be possible in this form.

The Mannholzer Festtage begins on Friday with the 30th Rock Night, which opens at 8 p.m. Two stages offer a diverse music program. The band “Jimmy and the Gang” will perform rock and pop classics while the group “Amplified” plays on the opposite stage. This year the rock night is particularly celebrated because it marks an anniversary.

Festive program and traditions

On Saturday, June 7th, from 4 p.m., it's “O’zapft isch”. The celebrations continue in the evening with a performance by the Swabian duo “Kächeles” at 8 p.m. in the festival tent, with admission starting at 6 p.m. The duo is known for their humorous performances and will delight visitors with an entertaining program.

Sunday is all about the traditional cow dung roulette, which is organized to benefit the German Red Cross. Here visitors have the opportunity to choose a grid square and win if the cow does its business there. The event promises excitement and lots of fun for young and old.

The crowning conclusion of the festive season is the “Xtreme Music Show”, which will appear in the festival tent on Sunday evening from 8 p.m. The band will create an exuberant atmosphere and encourage visitors to dance.

Commitment and environmental protection

The association “The Restlers” is not only committed to organizing the Mannholz festival, but also to nature conservation, the preservation of customs and adult education. Activities include annual courses such as computer courses and first aid training. Particularly noteworthy is the commitment to protecting native, endangered species; Over 50 bat boxes and more than 30 hornet boxes were built and hung by the club members. This extensive commitment not only makes the festive season a cultural highlight, but also promotes a sense of community within the region.

The Mannholz Festival is not only a feast for the senses, but also an excellent example of how local communities can actively contribute to promoting and preserving their traditions and nature conservation. Anyone interested can find all information about the festivities on the website of The Restlers or in an article published by [Rems newspaper].
