Alfdorf is planning to establish a new premium hiking trail in the picturesque Swabian Forest. This project represents a significant step towards further improving the hiking trails in the region. The local council has decided to involve the Swabian Forest Tourism Association in the planning and implementation in order to promote local nature and tourism opportunities. However, the exact name of the new hiking trail has not yet been decided, so the anticipation of the future discovery tour has already begun.
There are already several successful premium hiking trails in the Swabian Forest, which are known as “fairy trails”. These circular hiking trails are certified as premium trails by the German Hiking Institute e.V. and offer hikers a varied experience, themed around local landmarks such as the “Roman Forest” in Welzheim and the “Felsenmeer” in Murrhardt. These paths are characterized by their attractiveness and the high experience value that they offer hikers.
The “fairy traces” in detail
There are currently a total of eight different “fairy tracks” in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park, which include both premium hiking trails and premium walking trails. The following list of fairy traces is recorded until December 2023:
