Far-reaching nostalgia trips
Another offer from DBK Historische Bahn e.V. is a trip to Prien am Chiemsee, which took place on April 27, 2023. The train, also pulled by an electric locomotive 110 228, started from Aalen Hbf at 7:52 a.m. with stops in Nördlingen, Donauwörth and Augsburg Hbf. On the return journey, the train should reach Aalen around 8:40 p.m., with a stop in Prien of around six hours.
Attention to historical trains that date from the 50s and 60s remains high. These trains not only offer comfortable compartments, some with plush armchairs, but also a dining car with a wide range of food and drinks. On the journey to Prien, passengers were able to enjoy activities such as a boat trip to the Herrenchiemsee islands.
These nostalgic trips regularly offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the railway and experience the unique panoramas of the German landscape.
Whether on the Black Forest Railway or at Lake Chiemsee, train lovers and nature lovers will get their money's worth here. The next trip to Strasbourg is already planned for December 7, 2023, again with the electric locomotive 110 228, and also promises an unforgettable experience.
