Nostalgic trip to paradise: With the old electric locomotive to Titisee!
The anticipation of nostalgic train journeys remains unbroken. On July 19, 2023, a very special special train will travel on the picturesque Black Forest Railway from Karlsruhe to Titisee. BNN reports, that this train is pulled by the 64-year-old electric locomotive 110 228, which was built in 1964. The Black Forest Railway is considered one of the most beautiful railway routes in Germany and runs through impressive landscapes.
The special train starts at 9:28 a.m. in Vaihingen an der Enz, makes stops in Mühlacker (9:38 a.m.), Pforzheim (9:59 a.m.) and Karlsruhe (10:24 a.m.) before stopping in Rastatt at 10:42 a.m. Afterwards, without any further stops, we go directly to Titisee, where arrival is planned for 1:04 p.m. Travelers can look forward to a stay of around four hours to explore the surrounding area.

The ticket prices for the trip are as follows:
- Erwachsene: 45 Euro (Karlsruhe/Rastatt), 49 Euro (Pforzheim/Mühlacker/Vaihingen)
- Kinder (4-16 Jahre): 22,50 Euro (Karlsruhe/Rastatt), 24,50 Euro (Pforzheim/Mühlacker/Vaihingen)
- Familienticket: 112,50 Euro (Karlsruhe/Rastatt), 122,50 Euro (Pforzheim/Mühlacker/Vaihingen)
- Kinder unter 4 Jahren fahren kostenlos (ohne eigenen Sitzplatz).

Far-reaching nostalgia trips
Another offer from DBK Historische Bahn e.V. is a trip to Prien am Chiemsee, which took place on April 27, 2023. The train, also pulled by an electric locomotive 110 228, started from Aalen Hbf at 7:52 a.m. with stops in Nördlingen, Donauwörth and Augsburg Hbf. On the return journey, the train should reach Aalen around 8:40 p.m., with a stop in Prien of around six hours.
