Shots were fired again in Ludwigsburg on Tuesday night. The shots were heard at around 9:50 p.m. in a parking lot near the Oberjettinger town hall. Witnesses reported that at least two people fled on foot while another vehicle left the scene. This information was provided by the Picture transmitted, which also mentions that the criminal investigation department of the Ludwigsburg police headquarters has started the investigation.

The initial investigation results indicate that several people met in the parking lot before the shots were fired. The police are urgently looking for witnesses who can provide relevant information. Anyone with information about the incidents can contact investigators on 0800 1100225 or by email at notices.kripo.boeblingen@polizei.bwl.de.

connection to previous incidents

Tagesschau berichtet, dass die mutmaßlichen Täter unerkannt entkommen konnten und eine Fahndung mit mehreren Streifenwagen und einem Polizei-Hubschrauber erfolglos blieb.

This series of shots is not new and has been observed for over two years. There have been repeated shootings in the region in the past, particularly in front of shisha bars and barbershops, mostly during the night. These incidents have resulted in several injuries and at least one death. The first recorded incident took place in September 2022 in Mettingen (Esslingen district). Other cities that were affected include Ostfildern, Plochingen, Reichenbach, Eislingen, Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and Asperg.

Since the end of 2022, the police have arrested over 90 suspects who are charged with, among other things, grievous bodily harm and attempted murder. In addition, more than 300 searches and checks were carried out in connection with these shootings, during which weapons, drugs and fake identity documents were seized. Thanks to an expanded prevention strategy launched in February 2024, there is now an increased focus on hot spots in these areas.

Police are asking anyone who may be able to help clarify these incidents to come forward. The investigation is ongoing and the security situation remains tense.
