Kornwestheim celebrates Kirbe: market, fun and enjoyment from October 25th to 27th!

Preparations for the popular Kirbe in Kornwestheim are in full swing. This year, the traditional festival will take place from October 25th to 27th, 2025 and promises to delight both locals and visitors from the surrounding area. The city center will be transformed into a colorful market when local traders offer their goods and various attractions and culinary delicacies are presented.

The market times are different on all three days. The stands open on Saturday and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., while on Sunday visitors can take advantage of the offers from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Around 20 market suppliers show a variety of products, including clothing, fashion accessories and special delicacies. In addition, the Kornwestheim clubs, such as the ChorBühne e.V., the Free Fools' Guild e.V. and the Narren-Ober-Liga e.V., set up their stands and delight visitors with various offers.

Attractions and entertainment

A special highlight will be the hustle and bustle on the Holzgrundplatz. Here, little visitors can look forward to rides such as the baby flight and the opportunity for face painting. There will also be a Sunday shopping Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 27th, when retailers in the city center will have special offers. The first mayor Daniel Güthler is also expected to be present on this day.

A concert by the Kornwestheim Municipal Orchestra on October 27th at 2:30 p.m. on Bahnhofsplatz rounds off the varied program, although the event can only take place in good weather. The flea market on Bahnhofstrasse will provide attractive offers for lovers of rarities and collectibles.

Culinary delights and safety precautions

Visitors can also look forward to culinary delights. The volunteer fire brigade's support association will serve roast wild boar and other delicacies on Kirbe Sunday from 11:00 a.m. Another highlight is the presentation of the fire department's vintage vehicle, "Bella", at Campanile Square, also only in good weather.

In order for the event to run safely, there are some traffic regulations that must be observed. Güterbahnhofstrasse, Bahnhofsplatz and Karlstrasse will be closed to vehicle traffic. Bahnhofstrasse will also be closed on Kirbe Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition, a weapons ban zone will be set up in the city center, whereby the carrying of weapons and knives with a blade length of more than four centimeters is prohibited. Exceptions only apply to weapons in locked containers. Notices of this ban will be posted at the entrances to the church.
