In Hemmingen-Westerfeld, citizens will have several leisure options available to them in the coming days. The Büntebad is open over the Pentecost weekend, which offers the opportunity to swim. The lido in Hemmingen-Westerfeld will be accessible depending on the weather. However, particular attention is being paid to the Arnum outdoor swimming pool, whose opening remains uncertain as technical problems are causing a delay.
Jürgen Neumann, managing director of Kommunalnützigen Bäder GmbH, is currently in consultation with the city of Hemmingen regarding the decision to open the Arnum outdoor pool. After extensive renovations to the filter system and heating, the originally planned opening had to be postponed several times. Responsibility for these delays lies with the city.
Opening times of the outdoor pools
The opening times of the outdoor pools in Hemmingen are currently as follows:
- Strandbad Hemmingen: Geöffnet vom 7. bis 9. Juni jeweils von 10 bis 20 Uhr, am 10. Juni von 13 bis 20 Uhr (Wetterabhängig).
- Büntebad: Montag ist Ruhetag. Weitere Öffnungszeiten sind noch nicht bekanntgegeben.
- Hallenbad: Geöffnet am 7. Juni von 9 bis 19 Uhr, am 8. Juni von 9 bis 17.30 Uhr, und am 10. Juni von 7 bis 20 Uhr.
The Arnum outdoor pool, operated by the Hemminger Bäder Gesellschaft, offers numerous sports and leisure opportunities. The facility has a 50 x 16.5 meter sports swimming pool and a non-swimmers' pool with an elephant slide and a wide wave slide. Both pools are heated with solar heating, which results in water temperatures often exceeding 23 degrees Celsius. Special offers such as a lending library and numerous activities such as beach volleyball or table tennis make the outdoor pool a popular place for local recreation.
