Arsenalplatz in Ludwigsburg was officially inaugurated on June 6, 2023, a new central meeting point in the city center. A varied program for the inauguration
A festival took place on the opening day with music, dancing and various children's activities. The celebrations began at 11 a.m. with the opening of the “Café Little Prince” gastronomic pavilion. In the future, Arsenalplatz will be used regularly for events such as concerts, after-work evenings and sporting activities. It offers a variety of seating options, including fixed benches and movable chairs. A fountain field with 20 water jets, two table tennis tables and a drinking fountain were also integrated.
The redesign also includes ecological measures, such as planting 41 new trees - including bluebells and bird cherry trees - that contribute to climate sustainability. The court surface is designed to absorb rainwater, and an irrigation cistern ensures sustainable maintenance of the facility.
Arsenalplatz is seen as a positive development in the city center of Ludwigsburg, offering residents and visitors an attractive space for leisure and exchange.
