Fiery melodies: Pyro spectacle thrills thousands in Ludwigsburg!

On July 6, 2025, a spectacular pyrospectacle took place in the Blühenden Baroque in Ludwigsburg. Thousands of visitors flocked to the gardens surrounding Ludwigsburg Castle to experience the impressive fireworks display with melodies from Georges Bizet's “Carmen”. Organizer Markus Katterle and his team from “Flash Art” organized this event, which has been an integral part of summer events in the region since 1992.

The square was already well filled early in the evening; the audience consisted of a colorful mix of families, young people and older visitors. Many brought camping chairs or blankets to get the best view of the fireworks. Popular spots in the south garden in front of the residential palace were quickly occupied, while others in the lower palace garden were waiting for the highlight with provisions and snacks.

A musical supporting program

The supporting program started at 6 p.m. and offered live music on two stages. In the south garden, the band “in2deep and friends” created a relaxed atmosphere with acoustic versions of chart hits and pop classics. In the Lower East Garden, the group “Libberry Space” thrilled the audience with ballads, rock classics and funk.

The fireworks display itself lasted around 20 minutes and was staged by an experienced pyrotechnics team. In addition to the breathtaking light play, the sounds of “Carmen” created a special combination of music and visual effects. The collaboration between the Flash Art team and the musical performances created an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.

Gastronomic diversity and attractions

Various gastronomic stands ensured the physical well-being of the guests, including the Parkcafé restaurant, Jucker Farm and Kochtöpfle, which also offered vegetarian and vegan options. The beer benches in front of the stage were full and invited people to linger.

There were numerous attractions in the fairytale garden, especially for children, including boating and the Rapunzel Tower, which provided the best entertainment. The sand art exhibition was also a major attraction, delighting audiences both young and old.

Tickets for the musical fireworks were available in advance at the Blühenden Barock box offices and online. Prices were 20 euros for adults, reduced to 11 euros. Season ticket holders could save one euro with a voucher. Online tickets also had another bonus: free return trips by bus and train on the VVS network until 5 a.m. the following day.

Access to the site was regulated by several entrances, with the main entrance on Schorndorfer Straße being closed from 5 p.m. In addition, traffic in the security zone, which included Mömpelgardstrasse, Fasanenstrasse (house numbers 1 to 25) and the lower Bärenwiese, had to be strictly controlled. Vehicles were no longer allowed to enter or park in this zone from 5 p.m.

Overall, the pyrospectacle in the Blooming Baroque was a complete success and thrilled both young and old. The combination of impressive fireworks, excellent music and a festive atmosphere made this evening an unforgettable experience. Stuttgart News and Ludwigsburg district newspaper report on a successful event that captivated the visitors.
