A shocking incident shakes the tranquil community of Steinheim: On the night of Sunday, August 10, 2025, unknown perpetrators plunged an idyllic pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Gewann Burgberg into chaos with a CREAMY act of sabotage! This bridge, which connects the towns of Steinheim and Erdmannhausen, became the scene of an incredible crime that not only caused devastation, but also massive injuries!
In a shocking act of vandalism, the perpetrators broke a 15 cm wide wooden beam from the bridge deck and unashamedly threw it onto the banks of the Murr. Another beam was so badly damaged that it broke off dangerously, posing a real safety risk to anyone passing by. And then the unthinkable happened!

As ludwigsburg24.com reports, a 45-year-old Pedelec rider crossed this dangerous bridge at around 6:50 a.m. Suddenly she stumbled at the fatal spot and hit a traffic bollard with full force! The hysteria-inducing moments in which this terrible incident unfolded were only alleviated by the hospital lights to which the driver was immediately taken.
Injuries, shock and a damaged bridge – the consequences are frightening! The police are now investigating the dangerous interference with road traffic and any witnesses are asked to come forward urgently. The property damage? Incredible 250 euros! And a woman's life was put at risk in this terrible act!

The seriousness of the situation is not underestimated by the authorities! As the Ludwigsburg police headquarters makes clear in a press release, the investigation is already in full swing. It's a race against time to bring to justice the criminals who created such a dangerous trap out of pure hatred and desire for destruction!
The fire department was there immediately, closed the bridge and the city's construction department began repairs on Monday morning in order to reopen the bridge to traffic as quickly as possible.
