Fire engine tour: Fire brigade festival delights young and old!
An exciting spectacle took place today on the fire station of the Bietigheim-Bissingen volunteer fire department. A bright red fire engine pulled up and brought a group of children who jumped out of the vehicle enthusiastically. This event, which appealed to both children and their parents, was a highlight for the fire department. Deputy youth officer Michael Mauch was pleased to note that it was not uncommon for parents to take part in this experience with their children.
A long queue formed under shady pavilions as the children looked forward to the tour ahead. Sirens sounded during the journey through the city, which not only brought joy to the young passengers, but also created an exciting atmosphere. After the approximately ten-minute tour, the children were able to take souvenir photos in front of the parked fire engines. The babble of voices from the large vehicle hall created a familiar and welcoming atmosphere.
The youth fire department in Bietigheim-Bissingen
The Bietigheim-Bissingen youth fire department is the joint youth organization of the two active fire departments and offers young people between the ages of 10 and 17 the opportunity to get involved in an exciting environment. The members and supervisors come from both parts of the city and share a passion for the fire department. The focus of the youth fire brigade is on firefighting training, games and fun.
The varied exercise program includes firefighting, technical assistance and other activities such as camping and eating ice cream together. Interested young people have the opportunity to visit the youth fire brigade and get involved. The weekly meetings take place every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. (except during school holidays) at the fire station at Mühlwiesenstrasse 25. Today's experiences at the fire station not only showed the close community that the fire department and its youth fire department form, but also how important it is to get children and young people excited about the important work of the fire department. Bietigheim newspaper reports that these events not only shine a spotlight on the fire service, but also encourage the next generation's interest in fire service and safety.
The youth fire department is not only a valuable training facility, but also a platform for social interaction and a sense of community among the young participants. The youth fire brigade website offers further information and shows how committed the fire department in the region is to preparing young people for an exciting and responsible future.
