Maria's journey began in a winemaking family in picturesque Franconia. Just when she thought her dreams had been crushed by life, she feared that her teaching opportunity would never be within reach. But after a separation from her husband and finding new love - she was part of the first same-sex couple married by Mayor Burth in 2012 - Maria found the courage to make the impossible possible.
The path to dreams
Although she had worked in the kitchen as a chef for many years and had success as a diet chef, the urge to become a teacher never fully left her. Her life was marked by the challenges of being a mother and housewife, and yet her passion for teaching never seemed to completely fade. The decision to leave a secure job in a clinic seemed like a nightmare come true for many. But not for Maria! She wanted to know!
Through numerous training courses and tireless commitment to training young people in master classes, Maria was able to make her dream come true. Her decision to attend the Droste Hülshoff School in Friedrichshafen was the turning point in her life! Inspiring voices like Tom Lehrer's, who pushed the boundaries of teaching with music, could even be reflected in Maria's commitment!
