Hohenloher fruit juices in crisis: 20 jobs are at risk!

The traditional company Hohenloher fruit juices from Schwäbisch Hall, Baden-Württemberg, is currently facing serious financial difficulties. Bankruptcy was filed in May 2025, which has caused concern among the approximately 20 employees as they fear for their future.

The high cost of harvesting proved to be the main cause of the company's economic problems. Owner Teresa Heller is aware that the unsettled employees are worried about their jobs. According to Heller, there are already some interested investors, but so far the discussions have not led to any tangible progress.

Support from the employment agency

The salaries of employees are due until July 30, 2025 Employment Agency secured, which offers employees a certain short-term security. Nevertheless, a decision on the regular insolvency procedure must be made by the end of July 2025. Renald Metoja, the provisional insolvency administrator, and Marco Fromm are supporting Heller in this difficult situation and are checking the company's financial situation on a daily basis.

Although the current business situation is going well due to seasonal factors and the employees are committed, the financial challenges cast a shadow over the future. Last year, apple prices rose significantly, further complicating the situation. This year there was a low apple levy, which further aggravated the company's situation.

Since its founding in 1953 Hohenloher fruit juices produced a variety of fruit juices and made a name for itself in the region. A distinctive feature of the company is the logo with an apple tree bearing ripe, red fruits.

The coming weeks will be crucial for the future of the company and everyone involved is hoping for a positive turnaround.
