INCREDIBLE conditions in the indoor swimming pools in Baden-Württemberg! The number of documented crimes has reached an ALARMING high, 1,062 cases in 2024! A shocking increase of around 25 percent - this dramatic increase is primarily due to a scandalous incident in the Main-Tauber district, which seriously endangers safety in pools!
The cause? A seemingly harmless false alarm in an indoor swimming pool that caused CHAOS in the fall of 2024. Bathers fled and left the pool en masse without paying! The indoor swimming pool owner was forced to file a criminal complaint for “cheating benefits”. But the public prosecutor dropped the case – no perpetrators, no criminal intent! What a scandal!
The shocking statistics
While indoor swimming pools are suffering from a devastating increase in crimes, a completely different picture emerges in the outdoor swimming pools of Baden-Württemberg. Crimes here have fallen by SOUTHERN 18 percent to around 900 offenses in 2024! This is the lowest level since 2017, apart from the Corona years. It's hard to believe that the decline in outdoor pools still included the most common thefts and a worrying three reported sexual assaults!
