Hohenlohekreis defies Corona: No new infections reported!
As of October 12, 2025, the Corona situation in Hohenlohekreis, one of the smallest districts in Baden-Württemberg, remains stable. According to current reports, no new infections were registered compared to the previous day. Last week, the district recorded just four new cases, which corresponds to a 7-day incidence of 3.5 per 100,000 residents. The total number of people who tested positive in the Hohenlohe district is 55,528 cases.
At the regional level, the Hohenlohe district can look back on an infection rate of 48.99%, while the mortality rate is 0.38%. Unfortunately, 210 people have died of or with COVID-19 in this county since the start of the pandemic, according to current statistics. The district, which was created in 1973 from the old districts of Öhringen and Künzelsau, has its administrative headquarters in Künzelsau, with Öhringen being the largest city.
Vaccinations and intensive care beds
The vaccination campaign in the region is showing encouraging progress: Loud corona-in-zahlen.de 75.80% of people in the Hohenlohe district have received a COVID-19 vaccination at least once. For the primary vaccination, the figure is 74.60%, while 61.50% received a booster vaccination. There are currently no COVID-19 patients in intensive care, indicating a high capacity of the healthcare infrastructure, as the occupancy rate of all intensive care beds in the district is 71%.
In comparison, the 7-day incidence for Baden-Württemberg overall is 6.6 per 100,000 inhabitants, with a total of 5,144,838 people testing positive since the beginning of the pandemic. So far, no new deaths have been recorded in the entire state.
Nationwide situation
At the national level, the Corona situation remains relatively stable. No new infections were reported across Germany on October 12, 2025; the incidence is 7.3 per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 39,092,702 infections have been confirmed and the number of deaths is 188,001. This corresponds to a proportion of those who died of 0.48%. The number of deaths is mainly among older age groups, with 122,019 people over the age of 80 affected.
The vaccination rate for at least one vaccination in Germany is 77.9%, and a total of 188,244,457 vaccine doses have been administered. These numbers illustrate the efforts of the health authorities to protect the population as best as possible.
