Triathlon Heilbronn: Important diversions and traffic disruptions!
On June 1, 2025, the city of Heilbronn will become the center of sport when the VR Bank Triathlon powered by Audi takes place. Around 1,500 athletes will take part in the competitions on this day, which include sprint, middle and short distance as well as relay events. To ensure the safety of the athletes, extensive route closures will be necessary. However, these measures also have an impact on local public transport, especially between Stetten and Schwaigern.
Preparations for the event are already in full swing. From May 30th to June 15th, a rail replacement service (SEV) will be set up between Heilbronn and Eppingen. To mark the event, there will be diversions for SEV buses in the towns of Schwaigern and Stetten on June 1st from around 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Details about the diversions
The following stops will not be served during the diversion:
- Stetten Kirche
- Schwaigern West
- Schwaigern Heilbronner Straße
The buses will take an alternative route via the B293 federal highway and various streets in Schwaigern. The first rerouted trip begins at 8:25 a.m. in Heilbronn, regular trips on the original routes will resume from 3:25 p.m. In order to inform residents and interested citizens about the exact traffic disruptions, there will be an interactive map containing all relevant information. Detailed information can also be found in the official cover letter for the event.
Explanation of the traffic measures
The closures and diversions mentioned should only be maintained for as long as necessary to ensure that the event can be carried out safely, as triathlon-heilbronn.de explains.
If you have any questions, a contact address is available: info@triathlond-events.de (subject: “Triathlon-Heilbronn – route closures”). A residents' hotline will also be available on the event weekend at 0157-56600201.
The event promises not only exciting competitions, but also a challenge for local transport in the region. Sports enthusiasts and residents are called upon to adapt to the changed timetables and plan alternative routes.
The anticipation for the VR Bank Triathlon is already palpable and it is hoped that both the athletes and local residents will have a safe and enjoyable weekend. Further information on the traffic disruptions and the processes surrounding the triathlon can also be found on the stimme.de website find.
