Tornow Animal Shelter: Sweet dogs and cats are urgently looking for a home!

More and more people are using the last warm days of the year for relaxed walks, often accompanied by their four-legged friends. The Tornow animal shelter in the north of Oberhavel plays an important role by introducing animals that are urgently looking for a new home. The animal shelter currently has a large number of animals waiting for loving homes. The MAZ reports about the dedicated team that takes care of the animals' needs and informs potential owners about their characteristics.

The protégés include the charming Rottweiler Giovanni, who was born on February 2, 2017. With a shoulder height of around 65 cm, he is a stately male who is friendly, open-minded and affectionate, but requires experienced owners. Giovanni pulls strongly on the leash and is used to wearing a muzzle, which he should also wear in new situations. Unfortunately, he is not compatible with other dogs and must therefore be kept as an only dog. It is recommended that future owners have knowledge of handling protection or working dogs. Giovanni will be vaccinated, chipped and dewormed. edogs lists Giovanni under the ID 2970698 and emphasizes that he is friendly, but also needs clear, calm leadership.

Versatile animals in the animal shelter

In total, the Tornow animal shelter has 26 small dogs that were brought into the home through the veterinary office. These breeds include, among others, Maltese mixed breeds, Bollipos and Bolonka Zwetna, born between 2017 and 2025. Each of these dogs has individual personalities, from shy to curious. They are all friendly and socialized, ready to get involved with new people. These dogs are also vaccinated, chipped and dewormed.

But it's not just dogs looking for a new home. The cat Ginger, a European Shorthair, is around 3 to 5 years old and was previously the mother of four kittens. After an uncertain arrival, she opened up at the animal shelter and is now looking for a loving home, ideally with the opportunity to go outside after an adjustment period. She will be neutered, vaccinated, chipped and dewormed.

Another animal shelter resident is Gismo, a 10-year-old Siamese cat. Gismo loves being close to people and is known as a great cuddler. He doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time as he can become naughty in protest. Like Ginger, he will also be neutered, vaccinated, chipped and dewormed.
