On Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, the Trantenrother Hof in Heven invites you to a farm festival that offers numerous attractions for the whole family from 12 p.m. until the evening. The organic farm is not only a popular place for local products, but also a recognized example of organic farming. With an extraordinary program that ranges from craft activities for children to pony rides to exciting animal observations, the event promises to be an unforgettable experience. The musical accompaniment by artists from Witten creates a festive atmosphere. Visitors can look forward to stalls with special products and make healthy purchases in the farm shop. The food offering ranges from home-grown salads and grilled sausage from our own pig to vegan and vegetarian alternatives. In addition, farmer Bert Schulze-Poll will offer farm tours where interesting information about biodynamic agriculture will be provided.
A farm with history
The Trantenrother Hof looks back on a long tradition that dates back to 1598. The 425th anniversary will be celebrated next year. There are also several anniversaries coming up in 2026: 50 years of Demeter recognition and 30 years of Trantenrother Hof e.V., which was founded in 1996. The farm has been recognized as a Demeter farm since 1976 and treats all living beings with respect. The products are characterized by fair working conditions and high animal husbandry standards, while the company community cooperates closely with the region. Delivery is made to, among others, the Flotte Karotte and the Windrather Tal.
Opening times and arrival
The farm is open to visitors at all times, with special opening hours for the farm shop: Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shop remains closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. To support an environmentally friendly journey, it is recommended to come by bike or public transport. Tram lines 309 and 310 stop nearby at the Crengeldanz or Papenholz stops. Parking is also available near the farm.
