Successful start: panoramic views for a better quality of life in Schlierbach!
The “Panorama Views” event series in Schlierbach successfully celebrated its start today. Around 50 interested people took part in this special event, which was brought to life by the organizers Doris Ramsebner and Birgit Hofer. The idea came about during a business breakfast and aims to offer a format for personal development. The program included lectures, practical exercises and culinary delights.
Particularly noteworthy is the keynote speech by Birgit Hofer on the topic “The Power of Thoughts”. She spoke about the importance of mental health in connection with nutrition and exercise and showed how thought patterns shape life and can be changed. Doris Ramsebner addressed the sensory overload that is often experienced in everyday life and gave valuable tips for more peace and serenity. The creative trainer Kathrin Reiter was also not left out, who created personal resource cards together with the participants in the mini-workshop “Shaping Gratitude”.
Successful feedback and future prospects
The response from participants was consistently positive. Many reported “valuable tips that are suitable for everyday use” and described the morning as “well-rounded and harmonious”. The organizers draw a positive conclusion and plan to organize the next edition of “Panoramablicke” for November.
An additional topic of interest in this context is high sensitivity. According to current research, there are around 680 available titles that deal with this topic. Dealing with intense perceptions is a challenge for many people. Scientists have developed a new questionnaire to measure high sensitivity, which results from various information processing processes, including, among other things, deeper processing of environmental stimuli and a tendency to react emotionally. These traits show strong overlap with Big Five model traits such as neuroticism, openness to new experiences, and introversion.
High sensitivity in practice
A practical example is the story of Edit, a highly sensitive employee in an open-plan office. She struggled with mental and physical problems for a long time without understanding the causes. As part of the StressFree program, she realized that her heightened awareness was overwhelming her. Through targeted measures such as demanding consideration from her colleagues and learning relaxation techniques, she was able to significantly improve her quality of life.
Edit not only managed to better control her perception, but also became a valuable team member. Her positive attitude in stressful situations is appreciated by colleagues, and she shows how to discover strengths and transform weaknesses positively. Her story is an inspiring example of how people with high sensitivity can learn to use their special abilities and increase their own well-being.
The “Panorama Views” event and the stories of highly sensitive people like Edit illustrate how important it is to address mental health and self-care. In a world that is often characterized by sensory overload, such formats are essential for promoting well-being and personal development.
