The most common crimes are shoplifting, bicycle theft and break-ins in or out of motor vehicles. Theft crimes have experienced a noticeable increase since 2015, indicating a worrying trend. Considering the fact that the clearance rate for robbery crimes was almost 60% in 2022, cooperation between the population and the police is of great importance in order to increase security in cities and sustainably reduce crime. Further information on crime statistics data can be found in various reports.

The investigation of such crimes is of essential importance for the authorities. Public awareness and communication with the police are important pillars in the fight against crime.
