Trial day in Worms: Discover the world of music on June 14th!

The Lucie Kölsch Music School in Worms invites you to a taster day on Saturday, June 14th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., which this year for the first time will be combined with a small music school festival in the new building. This event offers interested children, young people and adults the opportunity to try out various musical instruments and produce their first sounds themselves. Specialist teachers are available to provide information about the music school's diverse offerings and to offer advice. Another highlight are the mini concerts, which take place in the hall and, when the weather is good, on the courtyard.

The program is varied. A clarinet ensemble opens the event at 1 p.m., followed by contributions from the “Aunt Rohdy” Suzuki groups, the children’s choir “Die Nibelungenspatzen” and other ensembles. The highlight is the final concert by the big band “Windkraft” at 4 p.m. The music school's support association is also present and provides information about its commitment while offering guests coffee, drinks and cakes and snacks donated by parents. A small flea market with records, CDs and surprises complements the diverse offering.

Early musical education and its benefits

Musical education not only plays an important role in general education, but also has positive effects on early childhood development. The musical promotion initiative develops more than just musicality. Research shows that music lessons sustainably increase children's self-confidence, ability to concentrate and creativity. The Schwarz Music School, for example, offers programs to integrate music lessons into the daily routine of schools, kindergartens and daycare centers and thereby promote the development of musical skills. Specially trained music teachers are available for early musical education, who teach the joy of music to even the youngest children.

Early musical education (MFE) is aimed primarily at preschool children and can serve as preparation for further instrumental lessons. It promotes sensory perception, motor skills, language skills as well as emotional and cognitive skills. According to the Kindergarten Academy The courses work playfully with music education concepts such as the “Orff Schulwerk”, which teaches the basics of making music. Children have the opportunity to discover their musicality and develop social skills through singing, dancing and rhythmic movements.

Wide range of offerings at the music school

The Lucie Kölsch Music School's range of subjects is broad and includes the elementary level, instrumental and singing lessons from lower to upper levels. The lessons are taught by professional teachers and offer numerous opportunities for making music together in ensembles, choirs, orchestras and bands. Regular auditions and events give young talents the opportunity to showcase their skills. In addition, the lessons are not only aimed at children, but are also open to adults, those returning to work and those who have recently retired, including special offers for seniors in small groups on the magic harp.

In summary, it can be said that the Lucie Kölsch Music School, with its trial day and a wide range of educational offerings, is an excellent contact point for all people interested in music in Worms. The positive effects of music education are not only undisputed for children's development, but are also a valuable enrichment for adults.
