First aid for young heroes: Medius Klinik brings courses to schools!
As part of the “Resuscitation Week”, first aid courses were offered at the Robert Bosch High School in Wendlingen and at four other schools in Nürtingen and Kirchheim. This initiative aimed to raise awareness among children and young people about the importance of first aid. Representatives from the Medius clinics were present at another school every day to train the students on site and expand their knowledge in dealing with emergencies. ntz.de
The training covered various aspects of first aid, which are of great importance not only for everyday school life, but also for the personal safety of the students. According to Medius Kliniken, first aid skills are increasingly seen as essential in order to be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
Diverse course offerings
The courses are based on the requirements of the German Red Cross (DRK). The offering here is diverse. The classic Red Cross first aid course lasts one day with nine teaching units. It is aimed at driving license applicants as well as first aiders in the company and anyone interested. drk.de
There are also specialized offerings, such as the Red Cross Child Care Course, which is especially designed for parents and grandparents who want to deal with emergencies involving children. Special training for people who work with children professionally is also part of the program. drk.de
Qualified trainers
In order to ensure the safety and quality of the training, qualified teacher training is of great importance. Such training typically consists of 56 teaching units and ensures that instructors are able to deliver high quality and activating first aid courses. These teachers must complete training every three years to maintain their teaching license adac-gelbhilft.de.
These measures can ensure a high level of security so that students and teachers benefit equally from the courses offered. First aid is not only an important skill, but it can save lives in emergencies.
