Big summer festival Das Feschd” on July 12th in Frickenhausen!
On Saturday, July 12, 2025, a very special event awaits visitors in Frickenhausen: The summer festival “Das Feschd” from Leben inclusive e.V. starts at 10 a.m. and offers a colorful program for the entire family until 11 p.m. The venue is Siemensstrasse 18, where people who have not yet visited a workshop for people with disabilities are particularly welcome. The summer festival is organized by board members Severine Hausmann and Philipp Herrmann and takes place whatever the weather.
The festival opens at 10 a.m. with a white sausage breakfast pint, accompanied by jazzy music, reports NTZ. The official opening of the festival takes place at 12 p.m., followed by an extensive program that offers numerous attractions for both children and adults.
Colorful program for young and old
The participatory program includes performances by a regional dance group, an exciting demonstration exercise by the Frickenhausen youth fire department and impressive demonstrations by the Wendlingen dog lovers. A big highlight of the day will be the play street with various activities, such as football darts, a huge match-4 game and craft activities for the little ones. Hourly tours of the workshop, the support and support area as well as the kitchen and cafeteria are also offered.
Another program item will keep the guests going from 6 p.m.: the disco, with two DJs from PFJ Events, will ensure a good atmosphere until 11 p.m. In addition, a ride home service is offered by Johanniter in the area so that visitors can get home safely.
Diverse cuisine and accessibility
Various food trucks ensure your physical well-being during the festival. Festival visitors can enjoy Maultaschen from the Lebenshilfe Zollern-Alb food truck, while burger fans get their money's worth at the Damn Burger Kirchheim stand. The culinary offering is complemented by cakes from Café Regenbogen as well as cocktails and modern drinks from the natural food store Radiesle.
The event location is barrier-free and there are sufficient parking spaces available around Siemensstrasse 18. Getting there is also uncomplicated, as the Tälesbahn stops nearby and a ride home service is offered.
The summer festival is planned by a dedicated eight-person project team led by Dimitri Wedmann. The Mensa team's Instagram account is followed by over 16,000 users, which reflects the great anticipation and interest in this festival.
