Erbacher judoka on course for the title – dominance in the league remains unbroken!
The Erbach judo team has had a remarkable year in 2025 and can look back on an impressive sporting record. In mid-May, the team secured promotion to the Baden-Württemberg League, which represents the highlight of a successful development to date. The TSV Erbach men's team shone on the first day of the Württemberg League in Nürtingen, where they took the lead in the table, as [schwaebische.de](https://www.schwaebische.de/regional/ulm-alb-donau/ehingen/erbacher-judoka-verbuchen-naechsten- Success-3678930) reports.
In an exciting competition, the Erbachers were able to triumph against strong opponents. The victories were achieved against the teams from Sindelfingen, the Roman Baur judo school and Bietigheim. The judoka also demonstrated their strength on the second day of the league, despite the absence of two prominent fighters. The first fight against JV Nürtingen ended with a 5-2 win, while the second fight against Kano Heilbronn was also decided for Erbach with the same result. In the final fight against Fellbach, the Erbach judoka clearly dominated and celebrated a 6-1 win.
An undefeated team with big goals
What is also impressive is the fact that the TSV Erbach men's team has remained undefeated for three years. The successes of the last few years speak for themselves: the district championship title in 2023, the title of the South Regional League in 2024 and most recently the Württemberg title as well as promotion in 2025. The young line-up in particular, which brings together all fighters under the age of 21, shows the potential of the Erbach judoka. Coach Christian Bökel, who is back on the mat after 27 years, has made a significant contribution to the team's success.
The starters of the 2025 team are Edmund Belmann, Baptiste Martorrell, David Behrendt, Andreas Laupheimer, Mark Zeiss, Sebastian Vogt, Jonas Berken, Dimitrij Popp, Pierre Klotz, Anton Popp, Mihai Vrabie, Tobias Pfeil and Christian Bökel. The team was able to gain additional motivation through the moral support of Jonas Berken, who simply had himself weighed in.
A look at the league
As reported on the TSV Erbach website, the Erbach judo team put together a team again after a five-year break that is not only victorious, but also completed all fights on the first day of competition with Ippon, the full number of points. The Erbach judo team takes the lead in the table, just ahead of Ravensburg, who also won all of their matches, only one ended with half a score.
Next Saturday there is another decisive competition against Ravensburg, which will take place in the sports hall of the Biberach Wieland Gymnasium at 1:30 p.m. This competition could be decisive for the title and promotion to the Landesliga Süd.
