The date is on May 24, 2025 TSG Balingen in the final of the WFV Cup. The team fought their way through the tournament with an impressive performance, winning the most recent semi-final game against SGV Freiberg 3-0. In this game, which took place in front of 1,500 spectators, Klostermann, the injured Moutassime and Colic brought the Balingen team to victory.

Already in the quarter-finals, Balingen won 2-0 against SSV Reutlingen, supported by more than 2,000 fans. To avoid early elimination, the team received a bye in the first round and managed a remarkable 5-0 win against Calcio Leinfelden-Echterdingen in the second round. The third round ended with a 6-1 win against SV Nehren, which was the only goal the team conceded in the competition so far. In the round of 16, TSG defeated SV Fellbach 4-0.

Historic success in the WFV Cup

TSG Balingen has not only had successes this season. The biggest success so far was the victory in the DB Regio WFV Cup 2023, in which Balingen won the penalty shootout 6-5 after an exciting final against the Stuttgarter Kickers. Previously they had remained 1-1 after 120 minutes. In the DFB Cup, the team met VfB Stuttgart, but was defeated 4-0 in front of 13,400 spectators.

The route to the final last season was also impressive: TSG won 3-1 against SG Empfingen, 3-2 against SSV Reutlingen and 4-2 against SV Nehren. Balingen won the semi-final 2-1 against FV Rot Weiß Weiler. There is also great anticipation for the upcoming finale. Future planning of TSG Balingen

If we look to the future, the team plans to be under new management, which will be strengthened by Maurizio Gaudino. Coach Petar Kosturkov has not received a new contract and Benjamino Molinari will succeed him for the new season. There are also important away games in the league, including on Friday against VfR Aalen, while the points round will end against Großaspach and Zuzenhausen.

TSG Balingen not only has the chance of another cup title, but also exciting challenges in the league. The final on May 24th will be broadcast live on ARD, making the event even more significant. Let’s support the team on their journey – the pressure is on the shoulders of the players but the commitment of the fans is second to none.
