Art and creativity combined: Master student exhibition in Sindelfingen!

The SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen is currently presenting an impressive exhibition by master students from the Karlsruhe Academy, which was prepared by professors and curators in a large museum and workshop for digital media. The show, which can be seen until June 29, 2025, offers the artists plenty of space to experiment and try things out krzbb.de reported.

The highlights of the exhibition include remarkable works that illustrate the creative expression and diversity of current contemporary art. For example, Fiona Marten created a mural depicting the history of past exhibitions. It contains a QR code that leads visitors to the archive.

Creative diversity under one roof

Another fascinating work is by Thomas Morgan, whose large-format painting with pigments on canvas is inspired by childhood memories of the coloring of leaves and the light effects of a cherry tree. This image is accompanied by tree-like sculptures made from knotted and dried canvases. Catalena Janitz, on the other hand, shows wrestlers in ambivalent states in her acrylic and oil works. These depictions encourage reflection on the representation of female strength and vulnerability.

Ye Qian's oil paintings stand out for their depiction of cacti and sausage delicacies in an indeterminate space, bearing brand labels that reference advertising for luxury brands. Lucia Mattes manages to combine felted handicrafts with manga figures and scientific diagrams to address the concept of art and manipulative relationships. Paul F. Millet combines aluminum casts with wooden boxes and graphics in his archaeological works, while Mirko Lassalle's surrealist oil paintings show mysteriously illuminated buildings and landscapes.

Multimedia and social issues

Rayen Breiten Bücher's multimedia installations address gender-coded sitting positions as well as the experiences of victims of emotional violence. These complex approaches by the young artists reflect numerous aspects of contemporary society.

The life's work of Christiane Schaufler-Münch, who died on April 16, 2025 at the age of 90, is closely related to the exhibition. She was a collector and founder of THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, which includes over 3,500 works of contemporary art, which are presented at SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen. Most of the collection becomes the property of the foundation, which aims to combine entrepreneurship, science, research and art, as schauwerk-sindelfingen.de points out.

The SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen is not only a space for creative development, but also a place for the preservation and presentation of contemporary art that is committed to the legacy of Christiane and Peter Schaufler. Visiting the current exhibition offers an excellent opportunity to discover the wide range of talents and themes in modern art.
