Big game exchange in the Sindelfingen Environmental Center: Swap instead of buying!

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, a game exchange will take place at the BUND Environmental Center in Sindelfingen. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., families with children, young people who enjoy playing, and adults have the opportunity to swap games. The event is organized by the BUND Böblingen district association and the Sindelfingen local association. Acceptance of games begins at 1:30 p.m., with the last drop off at 4:30 p.m. Traders are not welcome at this event, so it is purely an exchange for private individuals who can both offer games and take them away.

The motto of the event is “Exchange instead of buying” to encourage participants to think about their consumer behavior. In addition to exchanging games, there will also be the opportunity to try out the games on site, which is a new element compared to previous events. In addition, there will be coffee, cold drinks and cakes available upstairs to entertain visitors. Participation in the game exchange is free of charge, which is another highlight of this environmental initiative. There has already been great interest in the exchange in the past, which shows that the concept is well received by the population.[KRZBB] [BUND Böblingen]

Games and their meaning

The focus of the game exchange is the idea of offering used, but well-preserved and complete games. This not only encourages the reuse of play materials, but also reduces the environmental impact of producing new forms of play. Families and young people can not only expand their range of games, but also actively contribute to reducing waste.

The initiative is part of a broader movement towards more sustainable consumer behavior that is gaining importance in various areas of society. Events like these not only promote exchange among participants, but also an awareness of responsible consumption. A visit to Sindelfingen can therefore not only be an opportunity to discover new games, but also to actively work for a more sustainable future.
