On July 6, 2025, a very special event was celebrated in the Magstadt senior center. The senior center and its support association can look back on a proud 25 years. These anniversaries were duly acknowledged at a small celebration in the entrance hall of the nursing home. The festivities highlighted the importance of this facility for the community of Magstadt.
The senior center is more than just a nursing home. It offers a total of 28 care places and has 27 condominiums intended for assisted living residents. The apartments vary in size between 31 and 62 square meters. Particular attention was paid to the center's meeting place, which Mayor Florian Glock described as the heart of the facility. This highlights the central role the senior center plays in the community.
An attractive location
The senior center's nursing home is in an ideal, central location in the center of Magstadt, in the immediate vicinity of the church and town hall. The connection to public transport is also excellent, which makes the house easier to reach. Parking is also available for residents and visitors in the building's underground car park. The outdoor area has been attractively designed and invites you to linger.
The senior center offers well-thought-out facilities. It consists of 22 single rooms measuring approximately 20 square meters and 3 double rooms measuring approximately 28 square meters. Each room is furnished and has its own sanitary area with toilet, sink and shower. In addition, all rooms are equipped with connections for TV, radio and telephone. The residents' rooms are arranged around a spacious entrance hall with a dining room and sitting areas.
Community and support
In the senior center, care is provided by a senior nurse and a dedicated nursing staff. Assisted living residents have the opportunity to participate in communal meals, which contributes to the community. The senior center's support association supports care through various assistance and activities. The close cooperation with local clubs, kindergartens and schools enables a varied daily routine that is enriched by volunteers.
In addition, regular church services are offered by local pastors, who offer the residents a certain level of support and spiritual community. These aspects make the Magstadt senior center an important contact point, both for older residents and for the entire community.
