SV Leonberg/Eltingen celebrates championship and promotion to the state league!

With an impressive 5-1 win against SV Salamander Kornwestheim, SV Leonberg/Eltingen secured the championship in the Enz/Murr district league on June 1, 2025. The team not only celebrates winning the title, but also promotion to the national football league. Coach Robert Gitschier and his players can look back on a successful season, which was crowned with this important victory.

Particularly noteworthy are the performances of captain Marco Seufert, who scored two goals in this decisive game (15th, 21st minute). His performance was complemented by Marco Gritsch (28th) and Patrik Hofmann, who converted a penalty kick (40th). Julian Häusler made it 5-0 in the 61st minute, before Steffen Scheck for Kornwestheim reduced the score to 5-1 with a hand penalty (68th).

The way back to the national league

For SV Leonberg/Eltingen, this success means a return to the national league after three years in which the team had to be relegated. The players and coaches are visibly proud of this achievement, which was also celebrated by the spectators. With this triumph, the team can not only claim the championship title, but also seal promotion with a clear lead.

In addition, interesting games took place on the last matchday of the district league: Germania Bietigheim (3rd) lost 0-2 against FSV 08 Bietigheim-Bissingen II (7th), while TSV Phönix Lomersheim recorded a remarkable 10-0 win against VfB Neckarrems- Fußball.

The Leonberg/Eltingen team has asserted itself impressively in the league, which reflects their strong team performance and tireless commitment. The celebratory return to the national league is a more than deserved reward for the hard work throughout the season for both the players and the fans.
