General meeting of TTG Marbach: Important decisions on July 8th!
The table tennis community (TTG) Marbach/Rielingshausen held its annual general meeting in Rielingshausen last Friday. Chairman Markus Hoecker summarized an eventful year for the club. The first men's team took a strong second place in the district league and deliberately avoided relegation and the associated possible promotion. Another notable success was the women's team's relegation in the national league, which held its own in the final spurt.
Men 2 and 3 were also able to keep their classes. In the future, the fourth men's team will compete in the district league C with a team of six. The TTG also registered a boys' team and two senior teams for the coming season. Old masterWilfried Hildebrandtshone with his performances at the Baden-Württemberg championships, where he was on the podium three times: two silver and one bronze. There were also several individual titles won at the district championships, which awarded the club a challenge cup.
Board elections and honors
The board was re-elected at the meeting. The Marbacher Zeitung reported on the composition of the new board:
- Markus Hoecker bleibt 1. Vorsitzender.
- Gerd Häusser bleibt Stellvertreter.
- Daniel Haußmann wird neuer Vereinskassier.
- Wolfram Schmid als Jugendleiter.
- Christian Schaal behält das Amt des Spielleiters.
- Franziska Häusser wird neue Schriftführerin.
- Mirco Tränkner übt künftig das Amt des Gerätewarts aus.
Renate Körper and Andreas Kramer no longer stood for election and were recognized by the general meeting for their many years of voluntary work. Furthermore, some other offices were confirmed, such asMarkus Schmandkeas press officer andWilfried Hildebrandtas second equipment manager.
Planned activities and outlook
The club is optimistic about the future. On July 8, 2025, a general meeting will take place in “Adela’s Restaurant”, next room, at the community hall in Rielingshausen. The agenda includes reports, discharges, new elections and honors. Applications for the agenda must be submitted to the association board up to one week before the meeting.
A highlight is the catering at the cycling race in Marbach on October 3rd, where the TTG is expected to present itself prominently again. There will also be an important outlook on training operations and the 2025/26 association round.
The club is now also firmly established in the community, as its presence at the community festival and the anniversary of the Gymnastics Association showed. Thanks to these activities and a committed membership, the TTG Marbach/Rielingshausen remains a stable and active part of local sporting life.
