SENSATION in Jettingen: Students conjure up magical circus magic!

A sensation happened in Jettingen! For the very first time, the Jettingen Community School transformed a meadow into a dazzling circus tent, which captured the hearts of around 220 students. What began in a rural idyll became a breathtaking spectacle of future artists and a magical circus project week that no one will ever forget. Schwarzwälder Bote reports that parents, teachers and the Circus Ballessa team mobilized everything to build a huge red and white tent to build what became a magical place for children's hopes and dreams!

Professional circus educators were present to teach these young talents tricks and tricks. The children were filled with joy and amazement when they were able to choose from an almost unbelievable selection of ten disciplines - including juggling, fakir art, clowning and trapeze. Smaller groups worked closely together to showcase their shocking abilities, and many a hopeful artist even found themselves on the way to becoming new circus legends!

Circus magic in action

In a total of four captivating performances, the little circus artists thrilled more than 250 spectators, who followed the performances as if hypnotized. The audience, consisting of proud parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and teachers, were thrilled by the children's exciting performances. The school principal, Dominic Brucker, proudly announced that this event was supported by the state program “Learning with Tailwind,” which only made the scope of this project even more dramatic!

The Jettinger Schools Support Association sold drinks during the performances to further support the region and the community. It wasn't just a week of circus drawing, but also a celebration of teamwork and the shared joy of movement! What an indescribable experience for everyone involved!

The TOP 3 circus disciplines

The circus project week was not only a celebration of imagination, but also an intensive learning experience. Here are the TOP 3 most shocking disciplines that this unforgettable week produced:

  • 1. Trapez: Waghalsige Akrobatik in schwindelerregenden Höhen!
  • 2. Fakirkunst: Mutige Kinder, die das Unmögliche wagen!
  • 3. Clownerie: Eine komödiantische Unterhaltung, die alle zum Lachen brachte!

Circus education not only strengthened the children's personal skills, but also promoted social interaction. Teamwork, trust and mutual respect were reinvigorated and strengthened by this magical week, described by Kübler Sport as incomparable.

These initiatives are part of a larger framework supported by the Federal Working Group for Circus Pedagogy and the “Culture Makes You Strong. Alliances for Education” program. Fortunately for the future of circus art in Germany, there will be comprehensive funding until 2027 that addresses target groups affected by challenges. Furthermore, this could even improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged groups. Further details and information can be found on Circus Diversity.
