Holzgerlinger Waldtrail: Levin Maurer wins the anniversary event!

On July 6, 2025, the 40th Holzgerlinger Forest Trail took place in the newly designed Holzgerlinger Stadium, which was converted into a folk festival arena during the event. Around 270 runners registered for this running event. Mayor Ioannis Delakos gave the starting signal for the two distances of five and ten kilometers, with Levin Maurer in the men's race and Marlena Götza in the women's race showing outstanding performances.

Levin Maurer secured victory in the 10-kilometer run with an impressive time of 34:42 minutes. Nikolai Kronenwett and Stefan Ludwig followed in second and third place. This performance underlined Maurer's superiority throughout the race. Ralf Mickeler, the department head of the Holzgerlinger Lauftreff, also celebrated his comeback and was optimistic about the event.

A successful evening

Ralf Mickeler was pleased with how the event went and the 50th anniversary of the running club. He described the evening as a success: “It was warm, it was a summer evening – exactly what we wanted”. The forest trail was part of the popular Schönbuch Cup running series and attracted both amateur runners and ambitious athletes.

Marlena Götza was able to prevail in the women's ranking and secured first place. Their victory was another highlight of the day and added to the festive mood that characterized the event.

Overall, the forest trail was not only a sporting event, but also a celebration for the entire community, which further consolidated the character of the Holzgerlinger Stadium as a central location for sports and community activities.
