Cultural contacts and exchange

In another facet of cultural life, the Hofmark Chapel Haus im Wald was recently a guest at the Brass Music Festival in Lomnice nad Lužnicí, Czech Republic. This was organized by the folklore group Javor, which had also attended the Thanksgiving festival in Haus im Wald in the past. The support of the Freyung-Grafenau district illustrates the effort to promote cross-border projects, which was also impressively supported by cultural advisor Marina Reitmaier-Ranzinger.

The journey to the event included a cultural stop in Třeboň, known for its picturesque lake landscape. The group was led through the old town and the castle park by Selma Keck, an employee of the Freyung-Grafenau district office. When they arrived in Lomnice, the brass band from Haus im Wald was warmly welcomed by festival organizer Marcela Božovská. Numerous music groups performed as part of the festival and Stefan Behringer, first board member of the music and local history association, thanked them with gifts at the end of the concert.

The Hofmarkfest and the events abroad underline how lively and connected the cultural landscape in the region is. Citizens are invited to experience this diversity in Haus i. Enjoy the forest and take part in the celebrations.
