Three suspected burglars caught red-handed in Chemnitz!

In Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf, three suspected burglars were caught red-handed on Sunday evening. At around 8:20 p.m., an alert resident observed two men driving a loaded handcart and immediately informed the police. When police arrived, officers encountered a 63-year-old German man in a Volvo and two other men, aged 36 and 40, standing outside the vehicle. Despite an attempt by the suspects to escape, they were quickly stopped, as tixio.de reports.

In the trunk of the Volvo and in the handcart, the police found stolen steel products, including cast plates, zinc bars and iron steel products, with a total value of tens of thousands of euros. More detailed investigations revealed that it was a break-in at a nearby company premises. The 63-year-old was released after police operations were completed because there was no reason for his arrest, while the other two men were provisionally arrested. The police have already started an investigation into serious gang theft, as confirmed by the Saxon Police.
