TSV Ehningen achieved a narrow victory with 18:15 in a thrilling duel against SC Korb. The exciting match took place on Saturday in the Schalkwiesenhalle and marked another highlight for the sport of wrestling, which attracted numerous spectators. The competition, which was held as part of the Oberliga, offered excitement, drama and emotional highs and lows.

The opening fight was contested by Poyraz Karabulut (57 kg freestyle) against the Georgian fighter Bachuki Arveladze. Unfortunately, Karabulut had to admit defeat 4-0 in the first minute - a disappointing start that initially dampened the mood in the hall. Fabian Bendl (130 kg Greco-Roman) also lost his fight against Roman Schatz, which meant that Ehningen lost an important point to the score of 0:7.

Dramatic turning points

After the first two defeats, the Ehningen fighters showed strong performances. Constantin Bulibasa (61kg Greco-Roman) secured an important win 7-2 against Catalin-Andrej Vitel, bringing the score to 2-7. Andrian Grosul (98 kg freestyle) made the audience cheer again by defeating Grigore Albu in a technically superior manner and reducing the overall score to 6:7.

Mose Wolkober (66 kg freestyle), however, lost against Enrico Baumgärtner, whom he lost 0:16, which increased the score to 6:11. Kai Rösch (86 kg Greco-Roman) also lost to Alexej Nagorniy and prevented at least a maximum ranking with his narrow 0:13 defeat. The score worsened to 6:14 for Ehningen.

The turning point came from Sebastian Sander (71 kg Greco-Roman), who secured four points for TSV Ehningen with a shoulder victory over Robin Zentgraf, thus reducing the overall score to 10:14. Marcel Flick (80 kg freestyle) equalized the score to 14:14 with an impressive 16-0 superior victory over Asadullah Nemati. Despite a narrow 2:2 defeat by Adrian Moise (75 kg freestyle) against Elias Kunz, which dropped Ehningen back to 14:15, Timo Stiffel (75 kg Greco-Roman) showed strong nerves and won with a shoulder win against Benjamin Walentin, which made the final score 18:15.

Team spirit and enthusiasm

After the competition, team captain Marc Luithle was enthusiastic about his team's performance. He stressed that the solidarity and determination of the fighters were the key to this narrow victory.
