First fire brigade race in Böblingen: Action and excitement at the Schönbuchturm!

On June 2nd, 2025, an exciting event is announced in the Böblingen district: The first fire brigade run by the Böblingen district fire brigade association will take place on September 27th. This event, which is organized in collaboration with the Maichinger Event Service Stahl, promises not only exciting competitions, but also a strong sense of community among the firefighters and members of other emergency services organizations.

The marathon route is 700 meters with 60 meters of elevation gain and includes a total of 174 steps that need to be overcome. The venue is the picturesque Schönbuchturm on the Stellberg. This challenge not only appeals to the sporting side of the firefighters, but also strengthens the team spirit among the participants.

Cooperation and planning

The fire run is part of a larger initiative that promotes improved communication and collaboration between various aid organizations in the district. The Böblingen district fire brigade association works closely with the civil protection and fire services department of the district office. The aim of this partnership is to create a comprehensive calendar of events that will benefit all fire departments and friendly aid organizations such as the THW.

This calendar allows fire departments to publish their event dates online. This means that main exercises, open days and various festivities can be communicated transparently.
