Renovation of Pfistergasse in Altdorf: There is a risk of traffic disruptions!

The municipality of Altdorf has begun the extensive renovation of Pfistergasse, which will be carried out over the summer. The plan calls for a phased renovation, which will result in both traffic disruptions and total closures in certain sections Tagblatt reported. As part of this project, the water pipes will also be renewed and the sludge collectors for road drainage will be replaced. The first stage of the renovation work is planned for the period from June 30 to July 25, 2025. This will be followed by the second stage, which will begin on August 11, 2025 and is expected to last until early October 2025. During these construction phases, individual road sections will be completely closed, although access to the properties will remain guaranteed for residents. This takes place alternately from Blumenfeldgasse or Gründligasse.

Information and diversions

The construction management and the construction company have assured that affected residents will be informed directly about upcoming restrictions. Detours will be clearly visible. The municipality and the companies carrying out the work are working intensively to keep the disruption to traffic as low as possible and are asking citizens to pay attention to the signals and barriers.

These renovation measures are necessary to ensure the quality of the infrastructure in the long term.
