This incident is part of a larger series of violence in the Stuttgart area that has been ongoing since mid-2022. Investigations show a feud between two violent, multi-ethnic groups: One group comes from the Esslingen and Ludwigsburg regions, while the other comes from Göppingen and Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.
