TG Biberach celebrates five titles at the regional championships in Wangen!

TG Biberach demonstrated its dominance at the regional championships, which took place as part of the West Allgäu meeting in Wangen, and won five titles. Andreas Ostertag secured the title in the M60 discus throw with a distance of 30.24 meters. Josefin Wetzel put in an impressive performance of 10.87 seconds over the 75 meters and won in the W12 category. Jasmin Bohnert dominated the 800 meters in the W13 with a time of 2:47.60 minutes. Lennja Streißle was also successful on several occasions: she won both the high jump with a jump of 1.57 meters and the 80 meter hurdles in 12.00 seconds.

Further successes for TG Biberach

Lennja Streißle rounded off her great result with further placements. She took 3rd place in the 100 meters in 13.53 seconds and 2nd place in the 300 meter hurdles in 50.15 seconds. In addition, her performance in the 80 meter hurdles was recognized with a second place in the Württemberg best list for the W15. Her excellent performances also enabled her to meet the standard for the South German U16 high jump championship.

The TG Biberach was also able to shine in other competitions. Robin Kehrle achieved 9th place over 100 meters (12.83 s) and 2nd place over 200 meters (24.14 s) in the U18. Josefin Wetzel also took part in other disciplines and achieved 4th place in the 60 meter hurdles in 11.84 seconds and 2nd place in the high jump with 1.30 meters.

Results in international and regional competitions

Jasmin Bohnert achieved further placements, including 23rd place in the 75 meters (12.55 s) and 15th place in the long jump (3.66 m). Maja Weber and Helene Müller rounded off TG Biberach's successful performance by each competing in several disciplines. Müller took second place in the shot put with 5.14 meters and achieved 14th place in the 100 meters (15.29 s).

At the Baden-Württemberg championships, Klaus Ehrhart took 7th place over 100 meters (14.19 s) and 4th place over 200 meters (28.36 s) in the M55 category. Rika Schaarschmidt also showed strong performances over 400 meters (64.49 s) and 200 meters (27.81 s) at the international Ludwig Jall Sports Festival in Munich.

Not only the older athletes of TG Biberach were able to celebrate success, but also the younger ones. In the Einstein youth races, Mathis Kappeler achieved 2nd place out of 497 starters in the 2016 class, while Greta Heiermeier in the 2015 class took 3rd place out of 353 participants. Further placements of the TG athletes in various age groups show the great talent and versatility of the young athletes.

The TG Biberach continued its success story at the sprint, jumping and running meeting on Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen, with many athletes achieving personal best times. Robin Kehrle was able to run his 800 meters in 2:04.87 minutes, even if the standard of 2:04.00 minutes was not reached.
