The Thomas Morus School in Münster inaugurated a new extension building that is intended to create a modern learning environment on this day. The design of the new building comes from the renowned BKSP architects from Hanover, who took first place in the competition for the expansion and were awarded 20,000 euros for it. The extension is a solid construction and impresses with a red-orange clinker brick facade that is harmoniously adapted to the design of the existing building. In addition, a new sports hall was planned south of the new building, which can be used both for school operations and outside of school. In her remarks, school principal Martina Wenger emphasized the space for knowledge, creativity and personal development. Second place in the competition went to Becker + Laux Architekten from Münster, while LK Architekten from Cologne and ASP Architekten from Hanover received recognition.
The next step in the development of the Thomas Morus School is the renovation of the existing building, which is also being promoted by the city of Münster.
