Spring concert inspires: Horn players and singers inspire in Möhringen!

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, an impressive spring concert by the Handharmonika Club Möhringen (HHC) took place in the Angerhalle Möhringen. Under the direction of Frank Vögtle, Eric Dann and Helen Bösch, the two orchestras and the Bischofszell music club offered a varied program that was very well received by the guests. The event was charmingly hosted by Stefan and Andreas and attracted positive feedback from numerous music lovers.

The first part of the concert was performed by the leisure orchestra, which began the evening with cheerful pieces and waltz melodies by Johann Strauss. The performance “Intermezzo in Blue” and the melody “Mornings at Seven” in particular left a lasting impression on the listeners. A surprise was the joint performance of the Bischofszell music club and the leisure orchestra, where the anthem “Schwingerlüüt im Schwizerland” was heard in a unique performance. This was supported by the alphorn player Stefan Röllin and a surprise choir with eight Möhringer singers. The Bischofszell music venue itself impressed with pieces such as “Swiss Lady”, “Im Örgelihuus” and “Bon Jovi in Concert”.

A celebratory evening full of honors and highlights

After a short break, the main orchestra took over and thrilled with the piece “Root Beer Rag”. Further highlights included melodies from “The Legend of Zelda” and a selection from Supertram’s “Greatest Hits”. It became particularly emotional when Georg Werner was honored by the local mayor Andreas Speck: he received the Golden Badge of Honor for 50 years of active accordion playing, while he received the Silver Badge of Honor for over 30 years of service as first chairman of the HHC Möhringen. A gift from the club rounded off the honor.

The grand finale of the concert was the performance of “Amigos para Semper” under the direction of Eric Dann, followed by an encore of “A Half a Century,” which was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Bischofszell music venue. This concert represented not only a musical celebration, but also a living partnership between Möhringen and Bischofszell.

Thanksgiving and musical education

In addition to the active musicians, the HHC Möhringen also thanked its conductors Eric, Frank and Helen for their commitment and musical direction. Special mention was also made of the surprise choir, which consisted of ten dedicated singers. The Möhringen town band was also warmly thanked for their support at the concert. For those interested in music, Ivan Tsarynnyk, an experienced music teacher, offers piano and accordion lessons in the Alte Schule, the HHC Möhringen rehearsal location.

Tsarynnyk, who has a college degree in these instruments, brings not only a wealth of experience to the music scene, but also background knowledge from numerous competitions and performances. Anyone interested can contact him directly by email tsarinnik14@gmail.com or call +49 17683059524.

The event highlights the importance of community and musical collaboration, while the Handharmonika Club Möhringen continues to play a central role in the regional music landscape. Such events not only bring together musical talents, but also strengthen social bonds between those involved and the listeners. Schwäbische.de reports that preparations for next year are already in full swing in order to continue to ensure the highest level of musical quality and community.
