Waiblingen shines: New pop-up cultural space enlivens Eva-Mayr-Stihl-Platz!

On May 26, 2025, the “Pop Up Culture:Space” was ceremoniously inaugurated on Eva-Mayr-Stihl-Platz in Waiblingen. Eva-Mayr-Stihl-Platz will now be transformed into a place that not only invites you to linger, but also promotes cultural activities. The redesign is taking place as part of the rose market, which will attract numerous visitors next weekend. The cultural space is planned to operate for six months until the beginning of October 2025 in order to attract more people to the city center and significantly increase the quality of stay. A central aspect here is the better demarcation from the busy street, always with an eye on the various user interests, which Bayern Tourismus describes as essential for successful urban development.

Redesign with diverse elements

A highlight of the project is the installation of a tree avenue that creates shade and a green atmosphere. In addition, raised beds made from recycled containers are designed and maintained by children and young people. This measure not only ensures an attractive appearance, but also promotes the younger generation's identification with their district.

Another fundamental component of the Pop Up Kultur:Raum will be a museum café. A cozy atmosphere should be created here that will appeal to both residents and employees of the House of City History, such as the Stuttgart News.
