Last Saturday, June 16, 2025, Anna Lena and Florian Ruhland said “yes” to each other in a solemn ceremony in the Maria Immaculata parish church in Schorndorf. The two newlyweds from Stamsried started the special day with an unusual journey: an older English taxi, chauffeured by a neighbor and friend, took them to church.
The 29-year-old bride, Anna Lena Ruhland, née Niklas, is not only known as a long-time member of the Schorndorf Volunteer Fire Department, but also through her involvement in the Stamsried local and cultural theater, where she most recently took part in a play. Her 34-year-old husband Florian Ruhland also comes from Stamsried, and the couple lives together in Florian's parents' house.
Wedding and celebration
The service, which began at 10:30 a.m., was led by Pastor Martin Schöpf. Anna Lena's brother Josef took over the musical arrangement, supported by cousin Stefan on the wind instrument as well as other wind players and cousin Karina, who enriched the festive setting with singing. After the wedding, an atmospheric parade awaited the bride and groom, formed by the Schorndorf fire department and the Stamsried local and cultural theater.
The celebration continued in the Baumgartner inn opposite the church, where the band Waidler madness ensured a good atmosphere. Wedding host “Fips” led the day humorously and ensured unforgettable moments and lots of laughter among the guests.
